Microsoft FINALLY buys Yahoo!

Corey from Port Richey, FL just sent me this pic, which he mocked up tonight. Nice work!
Check out this insightful article re: Microsoft, Yahoo!, and Google.

SO would this new company be called 'MicroHoo' or 'YaSoft' or even worst 'MicroYaSoftHoo'. Just hope Microsoft don't mess around with Flickr.
Great mock up though

Go Microsoft! Are you a wimp Amber.I don't think so! I'll bet you're out buying Yahoo stock right now. This might be a marriage made in heaven and God knows you don't want to be impoverished in middle age, dependent on the generosity of strangers. Make a few bucks on some intelligent investment

Everyone on Flickr FREAKED THE HELL OUT when Yahoo bought it, and look what Yahoo did, nothing. Aside from tying the service to Yahoo (and Rogers/Yahoo) email addresses/logins. This marriage allowed me to get a FREE pro account through my Rogers Internet subscription.
That's bad ass.
I'd imagine Microsoft's main interest in Flickr (which comes bundled with Yahoo and as such might not be an interest to them at all, just a perk, as they want a chunk of the Ad market more than anything) would be for their nifty 3D-ish photo database, the name of which escapes me, but it probably uses Silverlight. Let applicable CC images into it and it would grow exponentially. That'd be le wicked.

I just realized Rogers/Yahoo offered free Pro Flickr accounts the other day. If Myiachrooosoft messes with it there is going to be one pissed off Torontonian sitting in this chair.

Very funny. Sad to because I can see this becoming a reality.
