Gizmodo claims "iPhone" announcement is tomorrow & my little Nano speaks Polish
Leo and I are talking iPhone biz (see one of many spec vids above) and tech news live tonight on net@nite from 9-10pm EST. You can chat with us, call in, or just listen in.
Tonight's guests...
- Award-winning filmmakers (and brothers) Christopher and Gregory DeSantis...they made a slick spec ad for the Apple iPhone/iTalk (posted above). Gizmodo says the iPhone will be announced Monday (yes, tomorrow), so we'll find out what the brothers think. For more iPhone rumours, check out a story I did on CNI last week.
- The people behind Stikkit and the people using Stikkit, like our favourite phone guy and productivity guru Merlin Mann.
- All of you. Go here.
My iPod speaks Polish...
I charged my shiny red Nano overnight. While doing too much on a Sunday morning, I accidentally picked Polish as the default language. If you ever do this, visit this page for a video that will help you to navigate through the "Polish" (or other) language Menu items to reset to English, etc. Phew.

I am pretty sure that Apple would hold an event to launch the 'iPhone'.
Have any press invites for such an event had been issued? I'm positive that it would be all over the web by now if they had...
...and what would be the point of Apple releasing a product this big (or small? ;) so close to Christmas?
on the other hand...
... it's Gizmodo :)

I can't understand why they would announce it now. Too close to Christmas to have a lot of sales and less than a month before macworld. Unless it is specifically tied to one carrier and that carrier has a reason for announcing new products monday.
When I got my 3g ipod it was in Chinese. Luckily the manual had a page about how to change it!

Well you do have a red and white nano after all. I guess it simply wanted to speak to you in it's mother tongue ;)

The language settings on your new iPod gives you an opportunity to learn some Swedish. Useful words and frases like "blanda spår" (shuffle), "nu spelas" (now playing) or "klickljud" (click sound)can be a part of your new, Swedish vocabulary.
